Packers’ Cobb, Jags’ Fournette questionable
The Packers are listing receiver Randall Cobb as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Bills with a hamstring injury. Cobb was added to the injury report on Thursday, when he was limited. He is second on the team with 17 catches for 194 yards and a score.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable for a third straight week with a left knee injury but is expected to again play with a knee brace.
He should have Bryan Bulaga starting at right tackle after the veteran was taken off the injury report. Bulaga was limited by a back injury.
Jaguars: Running back Leonard Fournette will be a game-day decision for the third straight week. Fournette, who strained his right hamstring in the season opener, was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets despite practicing in full Friday.
Chargers: Wide receivers Keenan Allen (knee) and Travis Benjamin (foot) are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. Both were limited participants during Friday’s practice.
Bills: LeSean McCoy (rib cartilage) is being listed as questionable for the game at Green Bay on Sunday even though the running back vowed earlier this week that he would play.
Steelers: Right guard David DeCastro (broken hand) and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) practiced in full this week after missing the team’s first win Monday at Tampa Bay. Both are expected to start Sunday night against the Ravens.
Eagles: Won’t have running back Darren Sproles (hamstring) and safety Rodney McLeod (knee) for Sunday’s game at Tennessee. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is questionable after missing the past two days of practice because of an illness. Jeffery hasn’t played this season after offseason shoulder surgery.
Seahawks: Wide receiver Doug Baldwin (knee) says he’s ready to return to the lineup this week against the Cardinals after missing the past two games.
49ers: Matt Breida (knee), among the NFL leaders in rushing, was limited in practice and listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Titans: Right tackle Jack Conklin is set to play for the first time Sunday since tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in January during a playoff loss to the Patriots.
Giants: Placed Jonathan Stewart (foot), their most experienced running back, on injured reserve.
Obituary: Wes Hopkins, a 10-year safety with the Philadelphia Eagles and 1985 AllPro, has died. He was 57. The team announced his death Friday. No cause was given.
Hopkins spent his entire NFL career in Philadelphia, starting 125 games. Hopkins ranks fifth on the franchise’s all-time interceptions list with 30.
Late Thursday
(At) Rams 38, Vikings 31: Any lingering questions about Jared Goff ’s ability to be the next standout quarterback in a horned helmet are withering while he destroys defenses this season.
The Vikings (1-2-1) were his latest victims Thursday night when Goff threw for 465 yards and five touchdowns of increasing brilliance. Goff set career highs while the Rams (4-0) won a scintillating duel with Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins.
Goff was perfect, at least according to his passer rating of 158.3 in his third consecutive 300-yard game.
