Trailers NASCAR 358Modified AllAmerican Racing Series feature of the season in the Saturday night stock car racing action sponsored by Hatfield Quality Meats. Cozze also received $250 from T.P. Trailers and was eligible for $150 inVPRacing Fuels product awards if he carried the proper decals and used the product.

Brian Shuey, who couldn’t get past the Late Model warm-up stages the past two weeks due to engine problems finally had Lady Luck on his side and got themonkey off his back to collect his fourth 25lap BRC Late Model feature. It wasn’t an easy win for the former two-time point champion since current and defending point champion Chuck Schutz and Dave Ogin were right on his bumper in the later stages. He also earned $100 from T.P. Trailers.

Mike Lisowski overpowered rookie Derrick Smith for the lead on the 19th lap restart in a daring move for the spot in the 25-lap NASCAR Sportsman feature and later held off Joe Funk III’s bids to win his second feature in which he also received the T.P. Trailers $100 award.

Blaine Bracelin Jr. was the early leader in the Modified portion until Steve Swinehart passed him coming off turn four on the sixth lap.

The order behind Swinehart now consisted of Cozze, Bracelin Jr., Kory Fleming and Glenn Owens.

Bracelin’s strong third place run was erased after he spun in the second turn bringing out the yellow on the eighth lap. Also caught up in the mishap were Fleming and Brett Kressley since they were left with nowhere to go. Fleming continued, but Kressley was sidelined the rest of the race.

Cozze shot into the lead on the restart with Swinehart, Craig Von Dohren, Owens and Brian Houseknecht in pursuit.

VonDohren stoppedwith a flat right rear tire on the ninth lap for another yellow. He rejoined after a quick pit stop. Since the front row was playing cat and mouse and the others anticipated a quicker restart Bracelin Jr., VonDohren, ChrisGambler and Kyle Borror tangled along the backstretch. The next attempt was better and Cozze continued his dominance.

Bracelin Jr., Fleming and Cozze were the heat winners.

In Late Model action Shuey wasted no time putting the Scott Lee-owned machine at the head of the 14-car starting lineup trailed by Shawn Horning, Bryon Sipe, Steve Todorow and Dan Green.

Heats were won by Shuey and Sipe.

Rookie racerKenny Bock set the pace for six laps in the Sportsman feature before Derrick Smith, also a rookie, assumed the lead.

Lisowski became the new leader on the 19th lap and never looked back.

Lisowski went on to post his seventh career victory trailed by Funk III, Smith, Kemmerer and Jim Housworth.
