Phoenixville woman dies in three-vehicle accident

UPPERPROVIDENCE>> Authorities say a Phoenixville woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Upper Providence Tuesday morning.

Catherine Boyle, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene after three vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 113 and Paper-birch Drive shortly after 6 a.m.

An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday. Boyle’s next of kin has been notified, according to Kate Delano, director of communications for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, which is handling the investigation.

Another driver suffered mi- nor injuries and was taken to Paoli Hospital, Delano said.

Montgomery County accident reconstruction investigators were at the scene assisting Upper Providence police. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
