9:45p.m. “The Town That Dreaded Sundown”-- First Friday Fright Night. Ben Johnson is a tough Texas Ranger tasked with tracking down a masked murderer preying on young couples. Eerie and atmospheri­c, it’s a step above typical slasher fare thanks to its cast, postWWII setting, and documentar­y-style storytelli­ng. A 1976drive-in favorite inspired by actual events. 9:45p.m. “Night of the Demons” -Cult Cinema Kevin Tenney’s 1988box office smash is a late-night cinema snack of gory proportion­s.
