Allen L. Bevan Jr., 88, of Ocean City, NJ passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the Bridges at Wesley Manor after a brief illness.

Born in Phoenixville , PA where he was raised and graduated from Phoenixville Area High School class of 1944. After graduation he joined the United States Navy serving from1945 until his Honorable Discharge in 1947.

Mr. Bevan moved to Ocean City in 1979 and started Bevan Construction, which he owned and operated for over 37 years.

He was a member of the Kettle Creek Hunting Club in Eaglesmere, PA, amember of the former Ocean City Lions Club and longtime member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Betty (nee Booth) Bevan, son: Allen L. Bevan, III “Jim” and his wife Elaine of Spring City, PA, daughter: Diane L. Radliff and her husband Michael of Eagleville, PA, two step sons: James Nickles and his wife Cris of Marmora, NJ, William Nickles and his wife Camille of Ocean City, a brother: Kenneth Bevan and his wife Gloria of Phoenixville, PA, sister: Connie Weiland and her husband Doug of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, a daughter in law: Wendy Quinn of West Chester, PA, six grandchildren: Christine, Kristin, Kelsey, Cole, Cara, William and five great grandchildren: Tristan, Tailia, James, Luke and Marin.

A Service of Memory and Love will be offered Monday, October 3, 2016 at 12 o’clock noon from St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 8th Street at Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from 11 o’clock until time of service.

Burial will be private in Pennsylvania.
