Kampf is truly bipartisan

To the Editor:

It seems that we always ask our politicians to be bipartisan. But we don’t check to see that they really are bipartisan. This year when I look at our local candidates, I continue to be very impressed with state Rep. Warren Kampf. He has an impressive record of getting things done across the aisle, and his voting record shows that he is not beholden to special interests or a slave to his party.

Some of the best examples this year were his votes on the state budget and education-related is- sues. He was part of a bipartisan majority that passed the last two budgets that included record funding levels for our schools. Further, he was part of the bipartisan majority that passed a new and improved education funding formula that more fairly provides funds for our local schools.

Republican or Democrat, it seems Rep. Kampf is willing to look at the actual idea and not from whom it came. He cosponsors legislation introduced by Pennsylvanians, with vision for results, no matter the party. Which to me is exceedingly rare and another positive sign that he represents the interests of everyone in our community.

It’s clear that Warren Kampf supports all of us. He supports our families, our seniors, our children and works well with our area job creators.

Rep. Kampf has prioritized education and protected taxpayers. He was a key vote on legislation to reform the pension system and state liquor sales system. All of these things were accomplished with support from both Democrats and Republicans. I will be voting for state Rep. Kampf and I sincerely hope you will join me in doing so. — Nan Piper Kochanski,
