AARP members meet new top cop
Phoenixville AARP’s March meeting started with Mayor Michael Speck introducing Phoenixville’s newly sworn in Police Chief Thomas Sjostrom to the members. Sjostrom then spoke to the group describing his thoughts on his coming administration. The meeting continued with a business meeting and a pizza lunch. Singer William Long than entertained the members with songs from the past and led a lively sing-along punctuated with some wry humor. The meeting concluded with birthday greeting for members with March birthdays. Chapter 713 meets on the first Wednesday of each month from September through June. The Chapter is open to all AARP members.
