Students earn medals at Regional Science Olympiad
Devon Prep Upper School and Middle School Science Olympiad Teams earned medals at the recent Pennsylvania regional competition at Neumann University in Aston. Between the two teams nine students came home with two first-placemedals, two second-place medals and two third-place medals. Nearly 30 students participated in the regional competition where more than 1,000 middle and high school students from 60 schools in the region were in attendance.
Devon Prep’s awardees include Matthew Siracusa of Newtown Square and William Rule of Phoenixville earned 1st place inRobot Arm and 2nd place in the Towers categories; Nolan Ramanjulu of Colleg- eville andMatthewSarkees of Newtown Square earned 1st place in Towers; Dylan Smoot ofWest Chester and Michael Gaetano of Phoenixville earned 2nd place in Road Scholar; Dylan Smoot ofWest Chester and Noah Salewski of Parkes- burg earned 3rd place in Bottle Rocket; Owen Pilacik of East Norriton and Pablo Alonso of Phoenixville earned 3rd place in the Scrambler category.
