Police blotter
Police reported Monday that between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11, they received 79 calls for service. The following incidents occurred on Sept. 9 and were reported by Phoenixville Police on their Facebook page:
• On Sept. 9 at 2:32 a.m., Officer Brown stopped the driver of a Nissan Altima on Second Avenue at Main Street for driving without headlights. The driver, a 32 year old resident of Susquehanna, was intoxicated and was arrested for DUI. The driver refused a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol content so his license will be suspended for 12 months.
• Officers responded to the Riverworks apartment complex on N. Main Street for a report of a man running around the parking lot on Sept. 9 at 5:19 a.m. Officers located a 27-yearold homeless man from Phoenixville who was under the influence of drugs. The man admitted to doing drugs but declined to tell officers what he took. He was arrested for public drunkenness and released when he was coherent, police said.
• On Sept. 9 at 6:33 a.m., a 29-year-old man from Philadelphia arrived at Phoenixville Hospital with a gunshot wound to his back. Detectives were called to the hospital but theman refused to cooperate with the investigation and police have not determined the location of the shooting.
• Officers responded to a disturbance in the unit block of High Street and located two women arguing on their front porch on Sept. 9 at 1:38 p.m. The women were warned to leave each other alone but continued to harass each other after the police left, officers said. Police returned to the residence and issued thewomen citations for harassment.
• A resident on the 800 block of Cherry Street reported on Sept. 9 at 5:28 p.m., that two Stihl backpack leaf blowers were stolen from his landscaping trailer that was parked in his fenced backyard. Police obtained video footage of the thief fromthe homeowner and the investigation is continuing.
• On Sept. 9 at 5:40 p.m., a man paid for a Domino’s Pizza using a counterfeit $100 bill in the 400 block of Gay Street, police said. The customer told police that he did not know the bill was counterfeit and he returned the change to Domino’s and paid for the pizzas with real money.
• On Sept. 9 at 5:54 p.m., a resident on the 1100 block of Township Line Road reported her black Pug puppy missing. The dog’s name is Luna and she is not wearing a collar.
