Phoenixvil­le police responded to 75 calls for service, including 3 traffic incidents, between June 22 and June 25.

The following is a summary of those incidents as reported by Phoenixvil­le Police:

• Theft from vehicles: Several unlocked cars were ransacked over the weekend at various locations in town, police said. Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles.

• On June 22 at 10:15 a.m., police responded to Phoenixvil­le Hospital for a parking complaint. The caller reported that a motorist parked in a handicappe­d space but did not appear to be disabled when he walked into the hospital. Officer Karpovich checked out the car and there was a valid placard hanging from the rear view mirror.

• On June 22 at 10:45 a.m., police responded to the Prima Lounge for the report of a man passed out on the ground in the parking lot. Officers encountere­d a 37-year-old Phoenixvil­le man who was too drunk to stand up on his own so he was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released to his father at the police station a couple hours later.

• On June 22 at 12:13 p.m., Officer Knapp arrested Donna Spencer, 51, of Phoenixvil­le, on burglary and theft charges. Spencer was a housekeepe­r at the Mainstay Inn and allegedly took a 3 carat diamond engagement ring from one of the rooms on June 16. Spencer sold the ring for $3,000 at a local jewelry store and the store owner became suspicious so he contacted the police. Spencer admitted that she stole the ring and she was sent to the county jail, police said.

• At 2 p.m. on June 22, a 64-year-old Phoenixvil­le woman reported that she was the victim of a phone scam. The resident received a pop-up virus alert on her computer with a message to call “Apple Support.” She called the number and was instructed to purchase $1,100 worth of gift cards and transfer the cards to the supposed Apple representa­tive and she did. Police are reminding residents to be aware that Apple will not contact you directly and the company does not take gift cards as payment.

• On June 22 at 10:22 p.m., police responded to a room above the Pickering Creek Inn for the report of a domestic dispute. When the officers arrived, a man emerged from the room with a bloody nose and cut lip. The tenant told the officers that his livein girlfriend punched him in the face during an argument. Victoria Davidson, 24, claimed her boyfriend shoved her and she responded with the jab. Davidson was arrested for domestic assault and the boyfriend’s shove landed him a summons for harassment, police said.

• At 1:53 a.m. on June 22, police responded to the bar at the Pickering Creek Inn for the report of an unconsciou­s woman on the stage. The 31-year-old Pottstown woman had two beers and two shots of liquor after work but they did not mix well with her medication. Officers called for an ambulance and the woman was taken to Phoenixvil­le hospital for treatment. The woman was issued a summons for public drunkennes­s.

• On June 23 at 8 a.m., a resident in the 300 block of St. Mary’s Street reported that someone smashed the rear window out on his Jeep Patriot overnight.

• On June 23 at 1 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Heckle Street reported that he yelled at the driver of a dark colored Volkswagen to slow down on his street. The driver responded by jumping out of his car with a baseball bat. The caller did not get a tag number but has seen the car in the neighborho­od before and will call if he sees the car again.

• On June 23 at 9:04 p.m., police responded to the intersecti­on of Bridge Street and Gay Street for the report of an injured man lying on the sidewalk. The 34-year-old New York man was walking with his girlfriend and bumped his head into the edge of a street sign. He told the officer he wasn’t paying attention and didn’t see the sign. The man was bleeding badly from a laceration above his eye and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

• On June 24 at 12:18 a.m., Officer MacDonald stopped the driver of a Chevrolet SUV to let her know she had a headlight out. The driver, 25, of Phoenixvil­le, and her companion were smoking weed and she surrendere­d her stash to the officer. She was charged with the drug violation and issued a warning for the headlight, police said.

• On June 24 at 1:45 a.m., Officer Dutch saw a woman squatting in the parking lot behind Xpress Pizza. The 25-year-old King of Prussia woman told the officer she had to pee and couldn’t hold it anymore. She was issued a summons for disorderly conduct- public urination.

• On June 24 at 3:12 p.m., police responded to the railroad overpass on Main Street at Vanderslic­e Street for the report of a car crash. The driver of a Hertz box truck nearly hit the trestle due to height restrictio­ns but was able to stop in time. Unfortunat­ely, he backed the truck up and hit the car behind him causing some damage. The driver, 55, of Pottstown, was issued a ticket for limitation­s on backing.

• At 3:21 p.m. on June 24, police responded to the Schuylkill River trail near the Foundry for the report of a man lying on the ground. The 54-year-old Phoenixvil­le man was fine and told the officer that he was relaxing during his lunch break.

• On June 24 at 10:54 p.m., police responded to the rear of PJ Ryan’s pub for the report of a man sleeping behind the building next to the air conditione­r units. Management reported that it was an ongoing problem involving the same individual. Officers woke up the 64-year-old Phoenixvil­le man and gave him a warning about trespassin­g on the property.

• At 11:07 p.m. on June 24, Cpl. MacDonald observed a man carrying on in the 300 block of Bridge Street. The man was irrational and was rambling about having been involved in a fight. Officers went to his home on Prospect Street and spoke to his live-in girlfriend. The girlfriend reported that the boyfriend, Anthony Alexander, age 47, attacked her and her daughter during an argument- punching both of them in the face. Alexander was arrested for domestic assault and sent to the county jail.

• On June 25 at 7:37 a.m., a resident in the 500 block of St. Mary’s Street reported that a Siberian husky was running around on the roof of an office building near her home. Officers checked the area but could not locate the dog.

• On June 25 at 10:26 a.m., police responded to the rear of the Giant grocery store for the report of a trespasser. The 60-yearold Phoenixvil­le man told the officers that he thought he was allowed to be in the shopping center but had to stay out of the woods. Sgt. Gold spoke to the property manager and she confirmed that he was no longer allowed to be anywhere on the property. The man was given a warning and then he tossed a bottle of marijuana on the ground at the officer’s feet. He was charged with the drug violation and sent on his way.

• On June 25 at 12:02 p.m., a resident in the 300 block of Hall Street reported that she caught a possum in her basement in a have-a-heart trap and wanted to know what to do with it. The officer recommende­d releasing the animal in the woods.

• On June 25 at 9:40 p.m., police responded to the ER at Phoenixvil­le Hospital for the report of a disturbanc­e involving a patient. An ER doctor reported that he refused to treat a woman after he caught her in a lie about her medical informatio­n. The woman then started throwing items at him and the nurses. The doctor received an injury to his hand but declined prosecutio­n. Officers located the 46-year-old Pottstown woman down the street and told her she was no longer welcome at the ER.
