Phoenixvil­le police responded to 153 calls for service between Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 including 16 traffic accidents. The following is a summary of notable incidents as reported by Phoenixvil­le Police on their Facebook page:

• On Oct. 1 at 8:04 a.m., police responded to the intersecti­on of Bridge Street and Gay Street for the report of a car crash. The driver of a Jeep told Officer Ansaldo that he was driving behind a Chevy when he sneezed and accidental­ly rear-ended the car in traffic. The 67-yearold Exton man was issued a ticket for causing the accident.

• On Oct. 1 at 4:35 p.m., a motorist reported that she was pulling out of the Phoenix Cleaners parking lot on Bridge Street and she clipped a bicyclist. The bicyclist was fine so he dusted himself off and continued on his way. The 35-year-old Phoenixvil­le resident wanted to document that the accident occurred.

• On Oct. 2 at 3:46 p.m., a resident in the unit block of E. Walnut Street reported that he was the victim of a flimflam. About a month ago, he was sitting on his front porch using his Apple iMac and a stranger approached him and asked if his internet was working properly and he replied that it was not. The resident agreed to give the man his computer and password so he could fix the problem. On Oct. 1, the door-to-door IT guy returned the computer but it was an older version iMac and it had been factory reset.

• On Oct. 3 at 12:32 p.m., police arrested a wanted woman at her home in the 100 block of Persimmon Lane. Donna Harris, age 52, was arrested on two criminal warrants held by Officers Komorowski and Duchnosky. Harris had some weed on her when she was picked up so she’ll be charged with that as well.

• On Oct. 3 at 2:45 p.m., a resident witnessed a tractor trailer hit a traffic light at the intersecti­on of Franklin Avenue and High Street and the truck driver kept going. The resident followed the tractor trailer for several miles and stayed on the phone with the dispatcher until an East Pikeland Township Police officer stopped the truck on Route 113. The driver claimed that he did not know he hit the signal but provided his company’s insurance info nonetheles­s.

• District Court issued a couple arrest warrants for some no-shows. Carnell Williams-Carey, 38, of Phoenixvil­le, missed his drug possession hearing and Abbey Smith, 19 of Phoenixvil­le, skipped out on her DUI proceeding. • On Oct. 4 at 3:53 a.m., police responded to the area of Route 23 and Buchanan Street for the report of a man wearing one shoe and talking to a utility pole. Officers located the 39-year-old Phoenixvil­le man and determined he was having a mental health issue. A family member responded to the intersecti­on and took the man to Phoenixvil­le Hospital for an evaluation.

• On Oct. 4 at 8:20 a.m., a resident in the 300 block of St. Mary’s Street reported that someone ransacked her unlocked Toyota Sienna overnight and stole about $200 in loose change that she planned on taking to a Coinstar machine later that day.

• On Oct. 4 at 8:45 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of South Street reported that someone snatched a parcel post package from his front porch. The thief opened the box and stole a watch valued at $100 and then tossed the empty box onto his neighbor’s front porch.

• Police responded to a room at the Prima Motel for the report of a man trying to enter the caller’s room through a window on Oct. 4 at 11:55 p.m. The caller told the officers that she had been drinking with the man for several hours and then told him he had to leave. The man left but then tried to sneak back into the room through the window. The man was halfway through when she called 911. He retreated and took off before the police arrived.

• On Oct. 6 at 12:21 a.m., police responded to PJ Ryan’s Pub for a bar fight. A couple of women got into a disagreeme­nt and tried to settle it with their fists. Bouncers broke the fight up before the police arrived and the ladies were ejected from the establishm­ent.

• On Oct. 6 at 1:33 a.m., Sgt. Gold saw a man trying to start a fight with another man on Bank Street near Bridge Street. The aggressor was trying to defend the honor of his sister who was involved in the earlier clash at PJ Ryan’s Pub and the tensions boiled over into the street. The sister managed to get her brother into her car and she agreed to take him home. The 31-year-old man from Wernersvil­le, PA was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

• On Oct. 6 at 1:53 a.m., police responded to the front of Molly Maguire’s Pub for the report of a fight in progress. A 26-year-old Pottstown man got into an argument with his friend and the friend’s girlfriend and punched them both in the face. His friend, age 27, of Pottstown, responded in kind. Both men were issued summonses for disorderly conduct.

• On Oct. 6 at 2:09 a.m., Officer Brown saw a man standing in front of a car in the Mill Street municipal lot and yelling at the driver. The man was drunk and screaming, “Uber…Uber…” but the bewildered guy driving the car was not an Uber driver. The 26-year-old Royersford man was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• Police responded to the 200 block of Church Street to check on the welfare of a man who was rolling around in the street and appeared to be under the influence on Oct. 6 at 4:13 a.m. Officers located the man lying on the street between two parked cars and he was hallucinat­ing and speaking in tongues. The man was agitated and became uncooperat­ive with the officers so they restrained him and took him to Phoenixvil­le Hospital for an evaluation. When they arrived, the 27-year-old Phoenixvil­le man was out of control so an ER doctor had to administer a sedative to the man while he was still in the back seat of the police car. He was taken into the ER for further treatment and issued summonses for disorderly conduct and public drunkennes­s.

• On Oct. 6 at 1:41 p.m., two boaters became stranded on the Schuylkill River after their canoe capsized and floated downstream. One of the boaters could not swim so the Friendship Fire Co. dive and water rescue team responded to help bring them ashore.

• On Oct. 6 at 10:13 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Hall Street for the report of a man sitting in the middle of the street. Officers located the man and he was so drunk he couldn’t function. The officers requested an ambulance and the 35-year-old Phoenixvil­le man was taken to the hospital for an alcohol/drug overdose. He was issued a summons for public drunkennes­s.

• On Oct. 7 at 7:53 a.m., police responded to a home in the 500 block of Taylor Street for the report of a domestic assault. Police determined that Joshua Kressler age 39, slapped his girlfriend, tossed her around the room, and shoved her into a closet. The girlfriend was injured during the assault so Kressler was arrested and charged with simple assault.

• On Oct. 7 at 4:15 p.m., a resident in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue reported that he was the victim of a phone scam. The 24-year-old resident received a call from a man claiming to be a police officer who threatened to arrest him unless he sent $600 on a Green-Dot pre-paid card. The resident was skeptical but sent the money anyway.
