Phoenixvil­le wrestling falls to Pottsgrove as Falcons win outright division title.

The Phoenixvil­le girls and boys teams came away with victories over Spring-Ford on Monday.

The Phantoms girls picked up a 98-72 win over the Rams, while the boys defeated Spring-Ford, 92-78.

Erini and Penelope Pappas helped lead the girls to victory. Erini Pappas won the 200 IM, the 100 fly and assisted the 200 medley relay’s first place finish. Penelope Pappas won the 100 back and aided the 200 free relay in its win. Other individual winners for Phoenixvil­le on the girls side included Emma Thomas (200 free), Sarah Ritter (50 free) and Sarah McCarthy (100 breast).

Brendan Bagnaski won the 50 free and 100 free for the Phantoms’ boys team. Mitchell Schwartz won the 100 fly and helped lead the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays to first place finishes.

Jack Hussin (200 free), George Pappas (100 back) and Dominic Sposato (100 breast) also won races for Phoenixvil­le.

Girls basketball

SPRING-FORD 69, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 30 >> The Rams got a game-high 23 points from Lucy Olsen as they rolled over the Vikings in their PAC Liberty Division game to cap an unbeaten league campaign (10-0, 160, 19-2).

Behind Olsen’s game-high scoring, Spring-Ford got another 10 points from Cassie Marte. Emma Miley led Perkiomen Valley with nine points. OWEN J. ROBERTS 55, PHOENIXVIL­LE 35 >>

OJR locked down tight in the first half as the Wildcats jumped out to a 26-10 lead in their Pioneer Athletic Conference crossover win.

Avery White and Olivia LeClaire led OJR in scoring with 14 points apiece. Aubrie Breisblatt tied them with 14 points for the Phantoms.

SPRING-FORD 51, BOYERTOWN 29 >> It was a home-and-home series for the Spring-Ford and Boyertown girls basketball teams.

After facing off in Royersford Jan. 26, the Pioneer Athletic Conference teams were at it Jan. 27 in Boyertown. Neither the change in venue, nor the back-to-back scheduling, impacted the Rams as they rolled up a 51-29 victory on the Bears.

Lucy Olson scored 18 points to lead Spring-Ford, which had already clinched the PAC’s Liberty Division title and continues its unbeaten run in the conference. The Rams (14-0, 17-2) went up by a 29-10 count after the first half, improving their lead to 41-16 going into the final stanza.

Emily Tiffan, who contribute­d eight points to Spring-Ford’s 68-34 triumph Friday, turned in another eight-point performanc­e. For Boyertown, Julia Smith had a team-high nine points off three baskets from 3-point range.

Boys basketball

SPRING-FORD 76, UPPER PERKIOMEN 29 >> The Rams offense got on a roll early, scoring 30 points in the first quarter and taking a 54-15 lead into halftime on its way to a Pioneer Athletic Conference crossover win.

Noah Baker led the Rams with 22 points. Ryan Hagan added 11 points, and Nate Santiago added nine points as the two combined for six of the team’s 12 threes. Brody Case led Upper Perk with 17 points.

Wrestling

SPRING-FORD 55, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 11 >> The Rams put on a pin-and-technicalf­all show against the Vikings to close out their PAC Liberty Division season on an up note.

Shane Reynolds and Quinn Tobin got things started for Spring-Ford (4-1, 15-3) with drops at 113 and 120, respective­ly. Aaron Judge (132), Jack McGill (138) and Chase Smith (170) followed with other pins while Zach Needles (145) and Joey Milano (182) added tech-falls.

PV’s points came from major decisions by Luke Ricci (106) and P.J. Kakos (126), with Austin Rowley adding a three-point verdict at 160.

RADNOR DUALS >> Perkiomen Valley went 3-0 in the Shoemaker Scuffle. The Vikings won over Academy Park (46-18), Radnor (36-33) and Ridley (48-21).

PV had five wrestlers go 3-0 on the day: Paul Kakos (126/132), Stephen Coleman (126/132), Austin Rowley (152), Riley Kershaw (160) and Jakob Sterling (195/220),
