Greens help PJP boys run win streak to 11

POPE JOHN PAUL II 60, PERKIOMEN VALLEY 54 >> Kevin and Justin Green accounted for almost two thirds of the Golden Panthers offensive output in a PAC crossover win Tuesday as PJP (16-3) upped its win streak to 11 games.

Kevin Green led PJP with 18 points, followed 16 from Justin Green. Drew McKeon added 10 for PJP. Tyler Lapetina scored a game-high 23 points for PV, while Kameron Parks returned from injury to chip in 11.

BOYERTOWN 51, POTTSTOWN 28 >> The Bears got off to a fast start Tuesday, and they rode the momentum to victory over the Trojans in their Pioneer Athletic Conference divisional crossover game.

Boyertown ran out to a 21-0 first quarter lead, upping it to 27-10 after three. Leading the Bears were Tre Diguglielm­o with 16 points, Alex Obarow and Aarick Salata (eight apiece) and Chris Kiefer with (seven). The host Trojans were led by Donovan Towson with nine points and Robert Buress with eight.

SPRING-FORD 73, UPPER PERKIOMEN 45 >> Patrick Kovaleski headed a trio of double-figure scorers for the Rams in Tuesday’s PAC divisional crossover game with the Indians.

Kovaleski hit for a game-high 19 points, with Jake Kressley adding 13 and Tre Medearis 11. Sean Boyle scored 16 to lead UP, with Hunter Flack adding 11.

NORRISTOWN 73, POTTSGROVE 36 >> The Eagles rode a big firsthalf lead to victory over the Falcons in PAC divisional crossover action Tuesday.

Norristown expanded its 33-9 halftime advantage to 54-23 heading into the fourth quarter. Willie Anderson (14) and Nizer Kinney (12) were the Eagles’ leading scorers, while John Ryan McMenamin, getting all 12 of his points off long-distance baskets, headed Pottsgrove.

METHACTON 66, UPPER MERION 40 >> Erik Timko headed a trio of double-figure scorers for the Warriors in Tuesday’s PAC divisional crossover game with the Vikings.

Timko hit for a game-high 21 points, followed by Owen Kropp (14) and Jeff Woodward (13).

POTTSGROVE 48, NORRISTOWN 16 >> Sydney Mowery and Riley Simon turned in double-doubles as the Falcons rolled over the Eagles in Tuesday’s PAC divisional crossover matchup. Mowery finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Simon added 10 points and 14 boards.

CONRAD WEISER 53, DANIEL BOONE 23 >> Kylie Meredith scored 22 points as the Scouts stayed in the hunt for a Berks II title by beating the Blazers Tuesday.

Nicole Brown was Boone’s leading scorer with seven points.

SPRING-FORD in Phantoms Baganski on four first-place in won 115, Tuesday’s PHOENIXVIL­LE the 50 finishes PAC free (25.37) meet. to 55 help >> Brendan and the 100 Rams free Baganski dominate (57.29) figured in the addition 200 free to (1:45.11) swimming and the 400 anchor free relays legs (4:10.91). of Spring-Ford’s Jack Hussin winning was the big individual winner for Phoenixvil­le, taking the 200 free (2:02.47) and 400 free (4:16.94).

BOYERTOWN 86, NORRISTOWN 54 >> Though the Eagles got two individual wins from Devon Carpenter, the Bears’ Justin Morris figured in on three firsts to help his team win this PAC meet Tuesday.

Morris, winner of the 200 free (2:24.79), also swam legs of Boyertown’s winning 200 medley (2:07.62) and 200 free relays (1:52.52). Carpenter’s firsts came in the 50 free (25.73) and 500 free (4:56.75).

UPPER MERION 116, UPPER PERKIOMEN 59 >> Trevor Cairns and Eric Harter were the lone event winners for the Indians in Tuesday’s PAC meet with the Vikings.

Cairns headed the 200 free (1:49.67) while Harter led the 100 back (58.99).

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 96, POPE JOHN PAUL II 51 >> Ethan Hinz was a two-event winner for the Vikings in Tuesday’s PAC meet with the Golden Panthers.

Hinz took the 100 free (51.53) and 50 free (23.87). PJP’s individual firsts came from Hugh Trexler in the 100 back (1:30.41) and Josh Murtaugh in the 100 breast (1:11.37).

OWEN J. ROBERTS 85, POTTSGROVE 40 >> The Wildcats had five different swimmers win individual races in Tuesday’s PAC meet with the Falcons.

Dalton Fink (200 free), Nathan VanNatter (200 IM), Ryan Lewiski (50 free), Tristan Olson (diving), Jonah Kasznay (100 fly) and John-Robert Venza (500 free) all scored firsts for Owen J., which also won two of three relays. Pottsgrove’s individual firsts were scored by Declan Keener (100 fly), Colin Bradley (100 back) and Nathan Jorgensen (1:16.14).

SPRING-FORD 85, PHOENIXVLL­E 85 >> Emma Thomas and Ashley Gutshall each won pairs of individual events for the Rams as they drew with the Phantoms in Tuesday’s PAC meet.

Thomas took the 200 free (2:20.58) and 500 free (5:07.22). Erini Pappas won twice for Phoenixvil­le in the 200 IM (2:26.49) and 100 back (1:06.58).

BOYERTOWN 91, NORRISTOWN 58 >> Madison Tyson won two individual events to lead the Bears in Tuesday’s PAC meet with the Eagles.

Tyson headed the 50 free (32.22) and 500 free (5:09.79). Norristown got firsts from Rachel Phan in the 100 back (1:53.23) and Brooklyn Pendleton in the 100 breast (1:42.12).

UPPER PERKIOMEN 95, UPPER MERION 85 >> Noel Fresa, Darragh Martin and Emily Burke each won pairs of individual events to help lift the Indians over the Vikings in Tuesday’s PAC meet.

Fresa placed first in the 50 free (25.38) and 100 free (55.89). Martin won the 200 IM (2:23.45) and 100 back (1:06.71), with Burke doing the same in the 100 fly (1:02.43) and 100 breast (1:11.30).

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 84, POPE JOHN PAUL II 73 >> Erin Lamirande and Emily Hinz each won pairs of individual races to lead the Vikings past the Golden Panthers in Tuesday’s PAC meet.

Lamirande was first in the 200 free (2:08.01) and 500 free (5:31.75) while Hinz headed the 200 IM (2:28.96) and 100 fly (1:09.67). PJP got wins from Hillary Mack in the 100 back (1:24.44) and Maggie Sullivan in the 100 breast (1:24.94).

OWEN J. ROBERTS 100, POTTSGROVE 63 >> Natalie Spencer was a two-event winner for the Wildcats in Tuesday’s PAC meet with the Falcons.

Spencer topped the 200 free (2:05.97) and 100 fly (1:01.66).
