1st Colonial Community Bank expands into Limerick
New location is the bank's first in Pennsylvania
LIMERICK » New Jerseybased 1st Colonial Community Bank recently celebrated its expansion into Pennsylvania. The bank held a grand opening and ribbon cutting Oct. 20 at its newest location in Limerick.
The bank took over an existing location at 440 West Linfield Trappe Road in Limerick and spent four months remodeling the facility. It is the fourth location for the Cherry Hill, N.J,-based 1st Colonial Community Bank and its first in Pennsylvania. The newest branch officially opened in March.
In an emailed response to questions, the company said it already had an established market share in Philadelphia through the team members it had recruited from local banks, adding that the team members recruited also influenced the selection of Limerick. The company added that the Limerick location also suited its needs.
There are noplans for further expansion into Pennsylvania.
The new Limerick branch offers full deposit services, consumer lending, mortgages and SBA lending, supported by a staff of four, as well as an SBA lender and a residential lender.
1st Colonial Community Bank is led by President and CEO Robert White, who joined the company in 2020. Before joining 1st Colonial, White had served as chief risk officer at Customers Bank, which is headquartered in Wyomissing, Berks County. During his more than nine years with Customers Bank, White also served as president of special assets and director of corporate development.
1st Colonial Bancorp Inc. is a Pennsylvania corporation headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and the parent company of 1st Colonial Community Bank. The bank opened in June 2000. In addition to its Cherry Hill headquarters and the newest branch
in Limerick, 1st Colonial has branches in Collingswood and Westville, N.J.
According to information on the bank’s website, the company places “relationships and customer service at the center of all that we do.”
