SCHWENKSVILLE » Perkiomen Valley Art Center welcomes sculpture artist Shawn Campbell on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at Engage Art Studio 1005 N. Gravel Pike, to share her approach to sculpting and her journey to find her artistic voice.

Campbell is one of the people who discovered her dormant talents later in life. At retirement, she started taking painting courses at the Baum School of Art, a step that led her to discover her love for sculpture. She has only been sculpting for four years, but she truly feels like she has found her artistic voice.

“My sculptures usually have a combined human, animal and natural imagery which creates a kind of innocence, an emotional and poetic power,” Campbell said.

Join Perkiomen Valley Art Center to hear more of her story, see her interesting works. Her presentation will finish with a Q & A session.

Refreshments will be served, so come out and enjoy the warmth, encouragement and some artistic camaraderie. The program will begin with a short business meeting and light refreshments. All are welcome to attend this art inspiring program.

The Perkiomen Valley Art Center is a non-profit volunteer group promoting fine arts in this region and providing encouragement to local artists through educational programs, art exhibits, awards for excellence in the arts, and awards for area high school art students. All programs and art exhibits are free and membership is open to all. Masks are recommended.
