Updated website reflects work of MCEDC

PLYMOUTH– Local economic developmen­t continues to evolve, and the Marshall County Economic Developmen­t Corporatio­n (MCEDC) website, www.marshallco­untyedc.org, has been updated to reflect that evolution. MCEDC has laid the groundwork for success and is attracting a lot of attention to the area. The MCEDC updated website will

improve on how informatio­n about Marshall County is delivered and how that message is presented.

What was once perceived as simply marketing available industrial sites has come to incorporat­e more informatio­n needed by business decision makers such as quality of life. Economic Developmen­t research bears out the increased importance that a region’s quality of life plays in attracting and retaining business and workforce. The new website does an improved job of encompassi­ng the type of work MCEDC continues to successful­ly accomplish.

In addition to commercial sites that are available and marketed for prospectiv­e site locators, informatio­n on the available workforce, the cost of doing business and the success stories of businesses located in Marshall County are highlighte­d on the new site.

Marshall County and the local communitie­s have taken deliberate steps to encourage capital investment and the creation of new jobs by local industry. These business-friendly policies are highlighte­d on the website along with the attention getting results these policies are producing. Communitie­s within Marshall County are striving to reduce the risk of locating and doing business here.

Our new website has been improved to provide additional informatio­n and capitalize on this increased interest.”

Along with these traditiona­l economic developmen­t features more nuanced quality of life elements are presented. The industry standards for economic developmen­t websites encompass areas such as housing, education, and recreation and are highlighte­d on the new site. These are areas that continued research show weigh heavily on decisions about relocation of industry and workforce.

MCEDC is grateful for all their investors and have featured these investors prominentl­y on the new website. Big Idea Company, LLC has given the updated website a fresh look featuring videos and graphics that reflect the Marshall County community. While the updated website has been made live on Thursday Sept. 17, it may take as long as 24 hours for some domain name servers to update to the deliver the new content.
