Falloween Fest is happening now!

WALKERTON – Looking for something spooktacul­ar to do today and/or tomorrow? The Falloween Fest, put on by the John Glenn School Corporatio­n, is currently going on now. The last day is tomorrow. Hours for Saturday are 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m.

If you’re looking for some great tasting festival food, then the festival is your place. It’ll have elephant ears, polish sausage, french fries, corn dogs, hot dogs, cotton candy, caramel apples, ice cream, and more.

Due to COVID-19 precaution­s, all food vendors will be drive-thrus.

Here is the informatio­n on specific locations and what will be served.

Falloween Fair Food Galore, presented by North American Midway Entertainm­ent, will be serving food on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will be offering elephant ears, polish sausage, french fries, corn dogs, hot dogs, cotton candy, caramel apples, ice cream, and more. It is located at the Walkerton Town Library and BMV parking lots along Highway 6. You may park at the Urey Middle School Parking lot and walk over. Wear a mask and practice social distancing. Please exit once you have made your purchase.

Hamburgers and Brats Drive Thru, presented by the JGHS Scholarshi­p Committee, will be serving food on Saturday from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. They are located at the United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia St., in Walkerton.

Homemade Chili, Potato Soup, and Desserts, presented by the United Methodist Church, will be operating on Saturday from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. It will be located at the United Methodist Church, 1000 Georgia St.

There will be a fish fry by the Tyner IOOF on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. and will run until they run out of fish. They are located at the JGHS West Parking lot by door #14 off of Georgia Street.

There will also be a Bernie Westhues Golf Outing sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. It will be located at Whispering Pines Golf Course. It is $75 per person.
