Community Calendar features notices for coming events in Marshall County. Notices will be published at least once prior to the event or reservatio­n deadline, if applicable. Deadline is 5 p.m. two days before publicatio­n date. Notices may be either mailed, faxed, e-mailed or dropped off at the Pilot News office, 218 N. Michigan St., during normal business hours. • Ribeye Dinner VFW Post 1162, Plymouth. $12 from 5-7 p.m.

• At 7:30 p.m. the Culver Park is hosting a movie in the Damore Amphitheat­er. Bring the family to watch the 2019 animated film, “The Addams Family”. Please bring a mask to use the indoor restrooms and social distance once you arrive.

SATURDAY, OCT. 10

• Ounce of Prevention Breast Cancer, Katie Surma ( Pound Instructor) and Essence Spa and Salon (location for the event) are teaming up to have an exclusive POUND event outside on their lawn. Some exciting news, this Saturday we will also be having a raffle! Some of the donated items are, salt lounge visits, tanning, online personal training and many other exciting packages! We will have tickets for sale $1 each or $5 for 6. All of the raffle money goes back to the Ounce of Prevention. Also as a reminder we will also have tanks available for $20. Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday at 10 a.m. All equipment will be provided, all you need is you, your friends and a bottle of water.

• Plymouth High School Juniors are holding a Chicken and Noodle Dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to raise money for prom. Tickets are $8 in advance and can be purchased by contacting the school at 574-936-2178 or asking any PHS Junior class member. Dinner includes Chicken & Noodles, mashed potatoes, and a roll and can be picked up at door

1. Food is being made by Bob’s Cafeteria Truck. We are trying to be optimistic that they get to have a prom this year.

• Come and stop by at the Culver library between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lots of assorted crafts for kids of all ages will enjoy. Free and welcome to the public.

• Tyner IOOF Fish Fry. Carry out only. From 4 p.m. until sold out. Cost is $10. Location: Tyner Community Building.

• Inwood United Methodist Church Bake Sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Collins Realty, 1435 N. Michigan St., Plymouth featuring Ben’s Soft Pretzels. Supporting local charities.

• Shepherd’s Pantry food pantry, Argos UMC, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos is open from 9-11 a.m.

• Kiwanis Club of Plymouth meets from 12 pm-1pm at Opie’s. We “serve the children of the world” with a special focus on improving the lives of children in our community. Join us for lunch and informativ­e speakers. New members are always welcome.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 14

• Parents with a child or loved one addicted to drugs and/or alcohol can find hope in Parents of Addicted Loved-ones (PAL). The founding principle of PAL is People helping people through the woods. We meet each Wednesday at 7 p.m. to educate, support, and help each other with issues arising from loving someone with an addiction.pal Groups are facilitate­d by a peer, someone walking the same path as you. While the focus is on parents with an addicted child, all family members and friends are welcome to attend PAL meetings.
