Larry W. Cale, 77, residing in Bremen, passed away early

Monday morning Oct. 12, following a brief illness.

He was born May 15, 1943 in Madison County, an only child of Rev. William Willis Cale

& Joyce Eileen (Baker) Cale; and has lived in Nappanee and Bremen area most of his adult life.

Larry graduated from Lapaz

High School; and worked for several companies in the area doing maintenanc­e, having worked at Coppes Kitchen, Mutschler’s, Alco, and Indiana Heating. He was a member of the Bremen Church of God, where he played for offertorie­s, helped in the nursery, did the Children’s Chat, and helped with kids on Wednesday evenings.

Larry is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff & Carrie Cale of Goshen, and his daughter, Donna Jean Bryant of Mattawan, MI. Also surviving are two grandsons, Seth (Danesha Miller) Bryant & Andrew Bryant, and four great-grandchild­ren, Ka’niyah Miller, David Bryant, Giovinni Miller, and Su’zanna Diggs.

Larry loved people, especially children, and going visiting. He was known as “Macgyver”. He loved farming and tractors. He took great pride in taking broken things and making them work again. He loved sharing the word of God. He was always optimistic, seeing the best in people, and he was always ready to help anyone.

Memorial services for Larry will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at South Side Church of God, 7351 U.S. 31 South, South Bend, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery, Alexandria, IN, with his parents.
