Bremen splits

SOUTH BEND - The Bremen HS swimmers split outcomes with South Bend Adams on Tuesday. The boys won, 92-66, while the girls lost, 112-72.

Notable individual­s for the Lions were seniors Lextin Willis and Jacob Fish, juniors James Wordleman and Al Byrd, and sophomores Keegan Miller and Seth Nettrouer.

Lextin placed 1st in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:18.31 and 1st in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:09.58. Jacob improved his 100 Breast by 1 second, swimming a 1:15.69, and he also improved his 500 Free by 4 seconds, swimming a 6:28.4.

Al won the 100 Fly with a time of 1:08.02, and James won the 50 Free with a time of 24.94, a 0.8 second improvemen­t from his last meet.

Keegan improved his 100 Back by 3 seconds, swimming a 1:16.28, and he also improved his 200 Free by 7 seconds, swimming a 2:21.15. Seth improved his 500 Free by 11 seconds, swimming a 7:07.38.

Notable swimmers for the Lady Lions were senior Keely Miller and freshmen Kaia Podlin, Audrey Sands, Sylvia Meyer, Julie Monesmith, and Sarah Stine.

Kaia won the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:16.76 and the 100 Fly with a time of 1:03.38. Julie improved her 100 Breast by 5 seconds, swimming a 1:47.96. Audrey improved her 50 Free by 0.8 seconds, swimming a 28.65. Sarah improved her 200 Free by 21 seconds, swimming a 2:59.95. Finally, Audrey, Sylvia, Keely, and Kaia took the 400 Free Relay in a tight race, finishing with a time of 4:17.10.
