Marshall County Crop update meetings

Marshall County Extension Office is holding two meetings at the Argos Community Building at the Marshall County 4-H Fairground­s, 202 West Street, Argos. These are in person meetings where proper COVID-19 distancing and mask wearing is required. Both meetings are approved as Private Applicator Recertific­ation Programs.

On Tuesday, Dec. 15, Robert Yoder, Extension Educator ANR, will lead a discussion on crop pest management, thoughts on nutrient management, and review Office of Indiana State Chemist pesticide and fertilizer updates. Registrati­on for this meeting is at 6:30 p.m. with the program running from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST.

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Robert Yoder, Extension Educator ANR, will host a viewing site for the Purdue Extension Winter PARP meeting. This is live viewing of a Zoom meeting with Bill Johnson, Purdue Weed Specialist, Fred Whitford, Purdue Pesticide Programs, and Joe Becovitz, Pesticide Program Specialist with OISC, providing updates. You will be able to ask questions during this presentati­on. Registrati­on for this meeting is at 1 p.m. with program from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST.

Due to Covid -19, you need to preregiste­r for these meetings by calling the Marshall County Extension Office at (574) 935-8545 or e-mail ryoder@purdue.edu to make sure there is adequate seating. There is a $10 fee for PARP and please bring you private applicator license with you. Meeting has been submitted for CEUS for commercial applicator­s and CCAS for Certified Crop Advisors.
