Joann Kehoe

Joann Kehoe, 85, of Bourbon, went to be with the Lord in Wampler’s Senior Home on Monday morning, Dec. 7.

Joann was born Dec. 16, 1934 in Oklahoma City, to Konrad and Agnes Kennedy Albrecht. The family moved to Bixby, Oklahoma, and later to Plymouth, Indiana, where she was a 1952 graduate of Plymouth High School.

After college (Ball State and Taylor Universiti­es), she taught in some local elementary schools and then graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago before spending years as a missionary teacher in Central African Republic. Joann married Max Paul Kehoe in June of 1976. She was employed by Hooks/revco/cvs stores in Indiana and Ohio. She was a member of Tippecanoe Community Church, which she attended for a number of years, and she worked the AWANA program there.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, two stepmother­s, her husband, Max, and her sister and brother-in-law. Aileen and Jimmie Brown. Surviving are two sisters, Rosalee Rettinger and Peggy Hofmeister, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. Pastor George Shoemaker will be officiatin­g. Deaton-clemens Funeral home is entrusted with arranging the service for the family. Memorial contributi­ons may be made to Tippecanoe Community Church, 2920 18B Road, Tippecanoe, Ind. 46570.
