Jo Ann Sellers

Jo Ann Sellers age 75 of Plymouth, passed away Monday, Dec. 21 at 8:35 p.m. in the Center for Hospice Raclin House in Mishawaka.

Jo was born Dec. 2, 1945, at South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of George and Jessie Fry Whitlock. She has been a resident of the Bremen area all her life. In 1964 she graduated from Bremen High School and was a member of Bremen Church of the Brethren where she was a Deacon, made baby blankets for all the children born into church families, she worked on funeral dinners and baked cookies for the visitors who came to church to visit. She was a homemaker caring for her children, canning vegetables from her garden which she was proud of to provide for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and baking. She was a school crossing guard for Bremen Public Schools, she helped at the group home in Bremen as well as being a Nurse’s Aid at Bremen Health Care.

On Nov. 8, 1965, she married the love of life Dave Sellers, he survives along with their children: Kristine (Judson) Hornbaker of Hutchinson, KS, Teri (David) Smith of Bluffton, John (Becky) Sellers of Tippecanoe and Kathy (Justin) Hershberge­r of Nappanee. She was also blessed with sixteen grandchild­ren and three great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bob Whitlock.

Do to the most current Covid-19 guidelines, private family services will be held, with burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon.

In keeping with current Covid19 regulation­s masks will be suggested as well as being mindful of social distancing.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made in her memory to: Bremen Church of the Brethren, 921 Woodies Lane Bremen, Ind. 46506.
