Marshall County Relay for Life 2021 launched Saturday

“Daffodil Days”: first flower of spring and symbol of hope

The Marshall County Relay for Life team didn’t let the biting winter air stop them from gathering in solidarity Saturday morning to officially launch the 2021 campaign.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11. Additional informatio­n about the event itself will be made available as plans are finalized.

For now the team have already begun their fundraisin­g efforts for the American Cancer Society.

The annual American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days will be held on March 18. As stated in the press release, “The daffodil is the first flower of spring and a symbol of hope. The American Cancer Society is offering fresh daffodils to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient support programs. Help spread hope to cancer patients by ordering daffodils for your clients, friends and family. Bring a little sunshine and ray of hope into someone’s life.”

Daffodils orders must be placed by Feb. 18 and will be available for pick up at the First United

United Church Fellowship Hall located at 400 North Michigan St., Plymouth from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18.

Daffodils are available for a donations of $10 for 10 daffodils. Daffodil Days supports the fundraisin­g efforts of the Relay for Life Marshall County team.
