Anita Rae Ludlow

NORTH JUDSON – Anita Rae Ludlow, 75, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1945 to Kermit Dwight Weddell and Maxine (Holmes) Weddell. Both her parents preceded her in death.

Anita graduated from Sunman High School in 1963. She attended Indiana University.

She married Gary Wayne Ludlow on May 3, 1969 at the North Judson United Methodist Church. He passed away on Feb. 21, 2011.

Anita retired from Liberty Elementary School in 2013. She was a Teacher’s Aid and the Title 1 Resource Coordinato­r for the NJSP School Corporatio­n. She was a member of the North Judson United Methodist Church.

She loved watching IU Sports, the Chicago Bears and Hallmark movies. She also loved having breakfast with her friends and spending time with her grandchild­ren. She was the Choir Director at North Judson United Methodist Church and played piano in the Mustard Seed Band.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Jennifer Kay (husband, Douglas B.) Koch of San Pierre, IN, Brandon Wayne (wife, Angela S.) Ludlow of Indianapol­is and Christophe­r Alan (wife, Rochella L.) Ludlow of North Judson; grandchild­ren, Bradley D. (wife, Moriah) Koch, Megan Joy Koch, Gabriel A. Koch, Katelyn A. Koch, Nathan C. Koch, Canaan M. Ludlow, Colton M. Ludlow, Madelyn G. Ludlow and Ethan W. Ludlow; great-grandchild, Brooks W. Koch; siblings, Janet L. (husband, Russell) Begley of North Judson, Carol L. (husband, Paul) Grubbs of Hobart and David D. Weddell of Hartford City.

She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Caleb A. Ludlow.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Holmes Cemetery in Medora, Ind.

Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City is in charge of arrangemen­ts.
