Getting back to work

The Plymouth Knights are still here and wanting to work to serve our community. Our motto: “Helping us to help you” is where you all come in. The Plymouth Knights are starting to serve up some delicious meals and we are asking whoever is hungry to stop by and eat. Saying this I thought we should tell you a little more on where the proceeds go within community.

Our Spring Fish Fry coming up on Friday, March 5 has 920 pounds of fish that’ll be cooked by Tyner with our proceeds going towards Scholarships. We do 4-6 scholarships per year with these funds at $500 each. We have been doing this for 15 plus years!

Pending on if things keep going well, our Bingo has started back up on Sundays, with our Third Sunday Pancake Breakfast starting up again March 21. Our Breakfasts have benefited numerous churches, Hello Gorgeous, Bread of Life, The Neighborhood Center and many others. 90% of our proceeds from Bingo are donated towards the Boys & Girls Club, Women’s Care Center, DAV, local humane society, school organizations and so much more.

In May you will see the Knights at the intersections of Jefferson & Michigan as we collect money with 100% profit going to Marshall/ Starke Development Center. To be able to deliver such a big check to them is very heartwarming knowing that all the passerby’s who gave donated to such a great wonderful cause.

Something new we started just last year is our Polish Dinner to celebrate Dyngus Day on Monday, April 5. Drive-thru only and all tickets must be sold by March 31 as The Skillet in South Bend is preparing the food. These proceeds help with the other charitable causes mentioned above.
