Rose M. Vargas, age 78, passed away on March 5, 2021 at 10:36 a.m. at the Center for Hospice (Raclin House) in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Rose was born the daughter of Glen G. and Iva F. (Wamsley) Benson on July 11, 1942 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She had been a longtime resident of the area. After high school, she attended Bob Jones University. Rose worked for several years at American Optical in Plymouth. During her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and her dog “Izzy”.

Those who will cherish memories of Rose are her daughter, Lynn Martinez of Plymouth, grandchild­ren Victor Navarro and Larrisa of Chicago, IL, Jesus Herrera of Chicago, IL, Maria Herrera and Corey of Plymouth, IN, special grandson Joshua and Shannon Stacy of Plymouth, IN, Kenneth Keller of Bremen, IN, great-grandchild, Beau, and sister Sara Bagley of Plymouth, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Phil, sister Sue Ellen Redhawk, and brothers Duane and Jr.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation services are being provided. No services are being planned.
