Marshall County Spring Crop meeting March 25
Marshall County Extension Office is holding a row crops meeting at the Argos Community Center Building located at 202 West Street, Argos on Thursday, March 25. It is an in-person meeting. COVID protocols such as face masks being worn and social distancing will be required. Please make sure you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19.
This meeting is approved as a Private Applicator Recertification Program, has CCA credits for nutrient management, integrated pest management, and CCH’S for commercial applicators categories 14 and 1.
Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. ET. Program agenda:
1 p.m. Jim Camberato, Professor of Agronomy, Micronutrients in Crop Production being Zn, Mn, and Boron.
1:30 p.m. Darcy Telenko, Botany and Plant Pathology Assistant Professor, 2020 Indian Foliar Disease Managements Updates for Corn.
2 p.m. Robert Yoder, Extension Educator ANR, Thoughts on Using Cover Crops to Control Weeds, sharing highlights From Bill Johnson, Purdue Weed Specialist, research.
2:20 p.m. Shaun Casteel, Associate Professor of Agronomy, Potassium Effects on Soybean Production at planting.
2:50 p.m. Robert Yoder, Extension Educator ANR, Dicamba Drift with Emphasis on Specialty Crops.
3:10 p.m. Adjourn
Due to COVID 19 and tight University travel budgets, Purdue University Specialists presentations will be video played of their recorded presentation. Any questions you have on these presentations will be collected and forwarded onto them for response.
