Dorothy L. Ritzenthan­ler

Dorothy L. Ritzenthal­er, age 91, passed away on April 7, at 11:50 p.m. in her Bourbon home.

Dorothy was born the daughter of Lewis and Goldie (Mckee) Danner on Feb. 26, 1930, in Churubusco. On Nov. 9, 1947, she married Robert Ritzenthal­er, who preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1994. She worked at Reynolds Aluminum before retiring. During her free time, she enjoyed flowers, animal - especially cats and dogs, bargain-hunting, and thrift-store shopping. She was well-known as a collector. She formerly attended Tippecanoe Community Church.

Those who will dearly miss Dorothy are her daughter Linda Kay Ritzenthal­er of Mishawaka; granddaugh­ter Dawn (James) Felder of South Bend; great-grandson Roderick Roberts of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-great granddaugh­ters: Zaria, Zaniya, Sa’mya and Zoey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 12 siblings, and great-granddaugh­ter Jessica Rawls.

Friends may gather to share memories with Dorothy’s family Wednesday, April 14, from 2 - 4 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. at Deaton-clemens Funeral Home 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Burial will take place the following day, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in Highland Cemetery 2257 Portage Ave, South Bend.

In keeping with current Covid 19 regulation­s “masks are required while in the funeral home” as well as being mindful of social distancing during the visitation time and funeral service.
