Steven D. Cummins Sr.

Steven D. Cummins, Sr. age 63 of Etna Green, passed away on Tuesday June 16, in his home in the care of his family and hospice.

Steve was born the son of Harry and Sylvia (Brannan) Cummins on March 28, 1958, in Plymouth. He has been a lifelong resident of the area and was a mechanical engineer at Shells Inc. of Bourbon. He and his wife were members of Etna Green Church of Christ.

Steve was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army from July 24, 1977, to Nov. 16, 1977.

On June 11, 1975, he married his sweetheart Carol Jones whom he has shared the last 46 years.

Also surviving are his daughters: Stacy (Rick) Sherow of Etna Green and Wendy (Robert) Milton of Warsaw and his son Steven Cummins, Jr. of Etna Green, He was also blessed with fifteen grandchild­ren, three great-grandchild­ren, and two sisters: Wanda Heleine of Terra Haute and Joyce Winters of Argos.

Those preceding in death are his parents, sisters, Jeanie Graham, Linda Anders and brothers: Jack, Jim and Ray Cummins.

In his free time, he had many interests; woodworkin­g, golfing, fishing, riding motorcycle­s, camping, cooking on the grill and most important was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed being a “Hot Rod guy”.

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, June 21, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Deaton-clemens Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison Street Plymouth. Funeral services will follow immediatel­y afterwards, with Pastor Jordan Ickes of Etna Green Church of Christ officiatin­g.

The family asks that memorial contributi­ons be made to Kosciusko County Hospice in his memory for the great care he received.

The family thanks their friends and community for support during these difficult times.
