Dennis Fulton

Dennis Dee Fulton, 64, of Bourbon, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice in Mishawaka on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 11:55 p.m.

Dennis was born on January 6, 1957 to Arthur and Shirley Fulton in Rochester. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1975. Acknowledg­ing he had a knack for working with his hands, Dennis went on to be a lifelong machinist and worked in the foundry for most of his days.

In April of 1982, Dennis married Karen Maclain (Liedtky) and resided in Plymouth. They had a daughter, Brooke and a son, Mason. In May of 1994, Dennis and Karen divorced. Dennis would later move to Bourbon, and marry Debra Hawkins (Fulton) in June of 2000. Dennis and Debbie were married for 16 years before they went their separate ways.

Dennis enjoyed his family and friends. He loved running, biking, canoeing, hiking, fishing, gardening, and attending auctions. If there was an adventure to be had, he was up for the challenge. His crazy, contagious laugh and warm-hearted smile is one that is sure to be missed.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father and mother, Arthur and Shirley Fulton and his brother-in-law Glenn Buttrum Sr.

He is survived by his daughter Brooke (Josh) Carlton, their children, Chloe, Payton, and Tyler, of Plymouth, as well as his son Mason (Rebecca) Fulton, and their children, Logan, Allison, and Gracelynn, of Muncie. He is also survived by his two brothers, Alan (Vicki) Fulton of Rochester, David (Linda) Fulton, of Warsaw, and three sisters, Vicki (Jim) Onstott of Rochester, Ronna (Ralph) Graham of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Jill Buttrum of Purdy, Missouri, both of his ex-wives to whom he remained close with, Karen Liedtky and her other two children, Taylor Fulton and Erin Liedtky of Plymouth, and Debra Fulton and her son Christophe­r Hawkins, of Bourbon, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services celebratin­g the life of Mr. Dennis D. Fulton, will be held at 10 a.m. at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 5.
