Evelyn Koontz

Evelyn Lucille Koontz, 92, of Plymouth passed away at 3:29 a.m., Monday, Nov. 15, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. Evelyn was born on June 27, 1929 in Bremen to the late Elmer “Dale” and Louisa Ellen (Marburger) Huff.

On Dec. 31, 1946 in Niles, Mich., she mar-ried Calvin Eugene Koontz. Evelyn was a graduate of Bremen High School in 1947. She was a housewife and retired from United Telephone Company. She was a member of the American Le-gion Auxiliary Post 8972 of Bremen, Marshall Co. Historical Society Museum, General Grand Chap-ter Order of the Eastern Star, Warsaw Chapter.

Evelyn loved to flower garden, sewing, reading westerns, baking and playing board games and card games with grandchild­ren and great grandchil-dren.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Calvin; four children, Gregory Koontz of Morgantown, Kendall Koontz of Bremen, Maureen (Jerry) Isenberg of Washington, Ill. and Elizabeth (Ron) Baumer of Cambridge City; 17 grandchild­ren, Adam (Angela) Koontz, Kristin (Brad Parker) Koontz, Jonathan (Lisa) Koontz, Matthew (Deanna) Koontz, Joshua (Karrin) Koontz, Caleb (Kirsten) Koontz, Aaron (Taryn Clark) Koontz, Casey (Ciara) Koontz, Dakota (Jennifer Apple) Koontz, Betsy (Vic) De-nardi, Sarah (Michael) Bachman, Nathan (Hannah) Isenberg, Heidi (Jonathan) Koski, Mari Isenberg, Teresa (Cory) Hill, Andrea (Ryan) Wright and Jessica Boicourt. She is also survived by 24 great grandchild­ren, Calvin Koontz, Dylan Daniel, Zachary, Alexis and Emilyn Koontz, Chloe and Noah Koontz, Easton, Braxton, Leighton and Kamryn Koontz, Lincoln Koontz, Lavender and Cordelia Bachman, An-na and Benjamin Koski, Brandt, Leah and Charlie Hill, Luke and Taylor Wright and Olivia and Eli Boi-court as well as one great great grandchild, Deliah Koontz.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Robin Koontz. Visitation will take place from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 20, in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Chuck Krieg will officiate and burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, 1950 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, Ind. 46506.
