Bremen School Board meets
BREMEN - Anyone who was able to be present, either live or virtually, at the Nov. 10 meeting of the Bremen Board of School Trustees would have come away from the meeting with the assurance that great things are happening in Bremen Public Schools.
Bremen High School Athletic Director Troy Holmes and Bremen High School Principal Bruce Jennings both shared detailed reports of the many achievements earned by students in the first term of the 2021-22 school year.
At the high school, Jennings noted a number of competitions involving various extra-curricular clubs and organizations. The FFA Livestock Judging Team was able to compete in Argos, followed by the FFA Soils Judging Team visiting North Miami. The Emerald Alliance Marching Band brought solid representation at the Bands of America event held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, then followed that appearance with a Semi-state run at the ISSMA Marching Band competition in Franklin. The BHS Spell Bowl Team traveled to the IASP Regional Competition, and just in time for the upcoming holiday season, the Bremen Student Council conducted a record-breaking food drive.
Holmes brought forth a lengthy list of scholars from the high school who were also able to garner honors in a number of fall athletics. The list of those receiving awards is as follows:
