Wendell F. Klingerman

Wendell F. Klingerman, 91, of Walkerton, passed away in the Lifecare Center of Rochester on Nov. 24.

Wendell was born in Tyner, on Nov. 27, 1929 to Albert and Gladys (Nash) Klingerman. Wendell married the love of his life, Elizabeth ‘Angeline’ Kring, on Oct. 28, 1947, she preceded him in death. He enjoyed going to antique car and tractor show, always talking about how older cars were and will always be better than the newer ones, but his greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his grandchild­ren.

Wendell is survived by his loving children, Cynthia (Dan Langer of Rochester, NY, Susan Berty of Plainfield, and Eric Klingerman of Walkerton. He was the proud grandfathe­r of five, Jennifer, Larissa, Jason and David Berty, along with Angela Wissen. Wendall was also the great grandfathe­r of 13.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and four brothers, Albert, Chet, Kenny and Charles Klingerman, along with two step-brothers, Rod and George Shewmaker.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 3rd from Noon until 1 p.m. in the Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 1216 Roosevelt Rd. A service celebratin­g Wendell’s life will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Cathy Wesolek officiatin­g. He will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Walkerton next to his wife. Memorial contributi­ons may be made in Wendell’s name to the Tyner United Methodist Church, 4501 French St., Plymouth, Ind. 46572.
