WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13

• Stay strong and healthy with chair exercises at the Matchett Event Center in Bourbon. This event starts at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and exercises to follow. For meal reservations, contact Real Services at 574-342-7031.

• The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at the Plymouth Public Library, located at 201 N. Center Street. It will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Appointments are needed. Blood is the most common type of donation, during which approximately a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. Schedule online or call 1-800-RED CROSS.

• The Plymouth Lincoln High School Class of 1958 will meet every Wednesday in April at the Hacienda Mexican Restaurant, 2862 Miller Drive, Plymouth. We like to get started at 11:30 a.m. That will be April 13, 20, and 27. If you have questions call Marilee at 574-341-0758.

THURSDAY, APRIL 14

• Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church will hold Holy Thursday evening services at 7 p.m. on April 14. Service is entitled “Acts of Love” and will feature foot washing and Holy Communion. • Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church will hold its Good Friday “Service of Nails” at 7 p.m. on April 15. The community is invited to participate in all activities. SATURDAY, APRIL 16

• Easter Egg Hunt for your Dog will be held by the Marshall County Humane Society. It’ll be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Let your dog enjoy its own egg hunt in a securely fenced play yard. As you pick up the eggs when your dog finds them. Bring your own basket or bag to take goodies out of eggs home. Auto Park Buick-gmc has generously donated toys, treats, and prize filled eggs for this hunt. Donation of $20, only $10 each for second or third dog. (Limit 3 per household). Must live in the same household. (All proceeds go directly to shelter.) Take pictures of your dog with the Easter bunny. Each hunt will last 10 minutes. All dogs must wait with you in your vehicle until his/her turn to hunt. Additional rules will be posted and followed that day. The shelter is located on a busy highway and the safety of your dog and family is their upmost concern. Preregistration is required. For more information, call the shelter at 574-936-8300.

• Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church will be holding a community Easter Egg Hunt at the church on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. After the hunt, the children will be served cookies and punch.

SUNDAY, APRIL 17

• Plymouth Trinity United Methodist Church will be holding its Easter morning sunrise service at 7 a.m. with an Easter brunch at 8:30 a.m. The launch of the new worship service time of 10 a.m. occurs on Easter morning and includes Holy Communion. • Kiwanis of Plymouth meets every Tuesday at noon at Opies Deli, 114 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. We are an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. We support several children’s charities in our community. Come and hear our weekly speakers from business owners to local children’s programs.

• MEDICARE 101 – 1ST SESSION. Donna Elia, a licensed insurance agent, will be at the Life Enrichment Center/marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth on Wednesday, April 20 at 9 a.m. to lead an open discussion and provide information on Medicare/ Medicaid/disability, providing important dates to keep in mind and some do’s and don’ts that you may not be aware of. She will explain options in different plans and dive deeper into the benefits of these plans that members often miss. • Argos Music Boosters will be holding a Nelson’s Porta-pit chicken sale on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Argos High School. Chicken is $8 a half and pit potatoes are $4. Proceeds go toward Argos High School music programs.
