Mary Ann Bules

March 31, 1941 - April 7, 2022

Mary Ann Bules, age 81, of Etna Green, IN passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN. Mary was born to Robert and Mary Ellen (Heckaman) White on March 31, 1941 in Plymouth, IN. She has been a resident of the Etna Green area all her life.

She married Verlen E. Bules on June 15, 1962 and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2011. She was a homemaker, but also owned her own beauty shop in Etna Green for many years. She was also a member of the Etna Green United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, knitting (as many families have enjoyed her personalized knit Christmas Stockings), baking, gardening, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed decorating her house (inside and out) for any holiday. She would also spend many hours at Kwik Knit Shop of Bourbon with her friends, Elizabeth Marshall and Marjorie Cook.

Mary is survived by her daughters: Melody Morris of Warsaw, IN; June Bules (Tom Black) of Plymouth, IN; her son-in-law, Rich Brunk of Warsaw, IN; her grandchildren: Nicholas Eugene (Colleen) Brunk of Bloomington, IN; Katherine Elizabeth (Joshua) Meade of Ft. Wayne, IN; her great-grandson, Silas Meade; her sisters: Kay Furfaro of Bluffton, IN; and Susie Holderread of Fishers, IN.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Ellen; her husband, Verlen; her daughter, Robin Brunk; and her brother, Jim White.

Cremation will take place per the family’s wishes. No services have been planned at this time.
