Terry A. Boswell

January 17, 1949 - April 2, 2022

Terry A. Boswell, 73 years old, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. Michael Medical Center, Silverdale, WA. Terry was born on Jan. 17, 1949 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Farrell and Leona (Haag) Boswell. On July 15, 1967 in North Liberty, Terry and Susan Ann Whitmer were united in marriage. Susan preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 2019. Terry was also preceded in death by his son, Joshua Oliver Boswell, and his daughter, Allyn Sue Flaharty.

Terry is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Leigh (Scott) Burch and Margo Rana (Beth Erickson) Boswell; son-in-law, Vance Flaharty; four grandchildren, Brandon Boswell, Ariel (Pablo) Lopez, Vincent Flaharty, and Alexandria Flaharty; two great grandchildren, Damian and Dahlia Lopez; sister, Linda K. Boswell; and brother, Jerry Boswell.

After losing their son, Joshua, at the age of 21, Terry and Susan opened their business Joshua Tree Imports in Lakeville. Terry and Susan have traveled worldwide purchasing and collecting handcrafted items, fossils and minerals. They also opened Joshua Tree Earth & Space Museum in Joshua’s memory. While traveling the world, they enjoyed travels in Mexico, Europe, and Africa. Over numerous years, Terry and Susan drove over 20,000 miles in Europe, visiting 17 countries.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 202 N. Main Street, North Liberty, IN. Rev. Travis Hartman, pastor of North Liberty Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
