• The Plymouth Elks Lodge is serving the following for their Friday Night Specials: Fish (AUCE), Jumbo Shrimp, Shrimp and Fish, Chicken. This includes salad bar-potato-dessert. They’re serving from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Carry outs are available. Call 574-935-5511.

SATURDAY, APRIL 30

• There is a Tyner Fish Fry from 4 p.m. until sold out. It will be held at the Tyner Community Building/fire Station. The fish is prepared by the Tyner Odd Fellows. The cost is $12. Drive-thru carryouts and revised dine-in.

• The Maxinkucke­e Odd Fellows are holding pancakes and sausage, biscuits and gravy breakfast on Saturday, April 30 from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. EST at 15003 18thb Road and Pine Road (South of SR10 between Culver and Argos). All You Can Eat. Adults are $10 and children are $8. Bake sale items support Blessings in a Backpack, Culver Chapter.

SUNDAY, MAY 1

• There will be a ladies only self-defense class held on May 1 at 201 N. Bourbon Street in Bourbon beginning at 1 p.m. Cost is $40 and includes lunch. Call 574-340-5598 to reserve your spot by April 25.

• The Tippecanoe River / Wythougan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its May meeting on Tuesday evening, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Marshall County museum. Daniel Szombathy will be speaking on Life in Hungary Under the Iron Curtain – Occupied by the Russians. The meeting is open and anyone who is interested is welcome to attend. The museum is located at 123 N. Michigan, Plymouth.

MONDAY, MAY 2

• The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at Bremen High School and Bremen Elementary School, located at 511 W. Grant Street. It will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointmen­ts are needed. Blood is the most common type of donation, during which approximat­ely a pint of ‘whole blood’ is given. This type of blood donation usually takes about an hour. A Power Red donation collects the red cells but returns most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibilit­y requiremen­ts and have type A, Neg, B Neg, or O blood. Schedule online or call 1-800-RED CROSS.

TUESDAY, MAY 3

• Kiwanis of Plymouth meets every Tuesday at noon at Opies Deli, 114 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth. We are an organizati­on of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time. We support several children’s charities in our community. Come and hear our weekly speakers from business owners to local children’s programs.

• The Marshall County Genealogic­al Society will hold its May meeting on Tuesday evening, May 3 at 6:00 p.m. at the Marshall County museum. Anita Watts Kopetski, local genealogis­t, will be speaking on the topic Preparing for the Upcoming “Genealogy Season”. The museum is located at 123 N. Michigan, Plymouth. The public is welcome.

• The Maxinkucke­e Singers and Players are putting on their Singers Spring Tour. Admission is free for all shows and all shows start at 7:30 p.m. EST with doors opening at 7 p.m. EST. Show dates are as follows:

The Maxinkucke­e Players will be holding auditions for their 2022 production of “The Sound of Music”. Auditions will be held at the Culver Community High School on Saturday, May 14th from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm EST and Sunday, May 15th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm EST. Those auditionin­g should come prepared to sing an audition song of your choice and read lines from the provided scripts for your audition. • The Plymouth Lincoln High School Class of 1958 will have their next luncheon Wednesday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lapaz Cafe. It is located at 6 and 31 in the old Burger King building.

• The Life Enrichment Center ’s series of Lunch & Learn presentati­ons continues. Get to know REAL Services & Nutrition Keys to Healthy Aging. Representa­tives from REAL Services will be here to explain the many services they offer to the community. This will take place at Marshall County Council of Aging/life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth at 11:30 a.m. Please help them with planning for the luncheon by calling us at 574-936-9904 to reserve your seat by Tuesday, May 3.
