Angels in Red
PLYMOUTH — a fun and exciting luncheon was had at christo’s Family Dining in Plymouth. Kathy Freehauf/lakeville and beth Randolph/ South bend, served as the april Hostesses and did a fantastic job, with table favors, door prizes, auctions, raffles, whew!
The theme of the month was Lace and Pearls. The chapter raised $423 for camp Evergreen, a camp that is run by center for Hospice care bereavement counselors and trained volunteers for youths between 6 and 12. The is no fee for the children to attend.
Thank you to Jamie Jacobs (Plymouth office) for coming to our gathering and explaining this program to us. The ladies enjoyed a very interesting and informative presentation. We also learned that our very own Pauline Pierson attended the first camp Evergreen event in 1994!
Two ladies became new members of The International Red Hat Society. They are: Sherry Rohr-bartlett of Plymouth and Wendy George of (East) Koontz Lake.
Over 30 chapterettes enjoyed this fun gathering. They shared laughter, hugs, love, a few caring tears and friendships that are like no other… we could probably be heard a county away, but it was ‘happy noise’ indeed!
The food was delicious, Gayle and Nicole served us as though we were royals, and truly appreciate their dedication to making sure everyone is well taken care of-sometimes Nicole gets after us — but we usually deserve it!
Pauline Pierson/ Donaldson gave a beautiful blessing before our meal.
Happy birthday month to Pat barkus/culver and Sherry Page/ culver.
We all reversed our colors this month because our Red Hat Society is celebrating its “24th birthday!”
I am so proud of these gals, God bless each and everyone.
