Busy days for LJH girls track

PLYMOUTH — The Lincoln Jr. High girls track team competed twice in three days. Over the weekend, the team hosted the Red Storm Relays and placed fourth out of six teams. Highlights included the shuttle hurdles team of Vivy Miller, Eva Macey, Amyra Benchaar, and Jersey Hunter taking first place with a time of 1:16. The 4x200 relay team of Alana Allen, Kali Newcomb, Lauren Gurtner, and Violet Flora took second. The sprint medley relay team of Flora, Hunter, Allen, and Kali Newcombals­o also placed second.

On Monday, the team defeated Wawasee, 83-26. Highlights included sweeps in the high jump (Lilah Treber, Lauren Gurtner, and Amyra Bencharr), the 100m dash (Alana Allen, Kathryn Morrison, and Lilah Treber), and the 200m hurdles (Eva Macey, Amyra Bencharr, and Khloe Jensen).
