Potawatomi Wildlife Park murder mystery Fundraiser

- By Gavin Greer STAFF WRITER

TIPPECANOE — On Friday, April 5 a murder mystery Fundraiser for the Potawatomi Wildlife Park will be held at the Gallery on West in Argos from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

This is an annual event for the park. Like past years, this year’s fundraiser will feature a live auction, a 50/50 raffle, food and more. This year’s events are different as there will also be a murder mystery.

Lacey Pfeiffer, the park manager of Potawatomi Wildlife Park, shared information about the event.

The murder mystery will blend historical facts from Potawatomi’s Bennack’s Village with fictional elements that make the story more intriguing. Those who attend the event do not need to act, they will just interact with ladies who will hand out clues. After these clues are received attendees of the event will have to decide if they are important or not. Once going over all the clues each person will guess who they believe committed the crime.

This year’s live auction will feature a sale of 10 packages. This part of the event will take place at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $40 each. The money raised goes to the parks operations fund. This helps pay for events, park maintenance, field trips and other things. The park is open to the public for free 365 days a year sunrise to sunset and costs $120,000 a year to operate.

Tickets can be purchased through the link on the park’s Facebook or can be bought by contacting the park or any of it’s 12 board members.

Tickets will be purchasable up to a week before the event.

A meal will be provided by Log House catering. There will be pork loin, chicken, noodles, potatoes and other types of food. Cupcakes will be available for desert.
