Candidate Profiles
Adam Faulstich Commissioner District 2
My name is Adam Faulstich. I am one of the Republican Candidates for the County Commissioner District 2 seat. I have been a lifelong Marshall County resident, minus the twelve and a half years I spent on Active Duty in the U.S. Navy from 1999 through 2012. I moved back to Marshall County in 2013.
I grew up on a Dairy Farm south of Plymouth, just north of State Road 10, and attended Argos Community Schools from kindergarten through middle school. My parents decided that a change was in order, and I attended High School in Bremen, graduating in 1998. After high school, I attended Tristate University, now Trine, as an engineering major before meeting a Navy recruiter and enlisting in the Navy, which started me on the path to becoming a public servant.
I currently work as a field engineer for a machine tooling company headquartered in Switzerland, and I have enjoyed this role for the last ten years. This job has given me valuable experience in corporate business, logistics, part procurement, and customer service. I believe that one of the advantages of being an elected official still active in the job market is that, like most of you, I also have experienced the stress and uncertainty of going through multiple rounds of layoffs and downsizing because of inflation and our Country’s current economy.
Drawing on my current experience in manufacturing and past experience in the military, I can look at current problems facing Marshall County differently, allowing for new ideas and approaches to solve these issues. My current job and the different positions I held in the military have the commonality of both being diverse environments where you must be able to listen to what people are saying to find common ground and come up with workable solutions to problems regardless of how you feel about them. I currently do that while serving on the County Council and will continue doing that as a County Commissioner.
