Candidate Profiles

Steve Gorski Marshall County Commissioner District 2

-

I’ve been a resident of Plymouth and Marshall County for 50 years plus. I attended the local schools from Junior High School to Plymouth High School. I’ve worked in Plymouth (30 years), Bremen (9 years) and now in Culver part-time, as the Town of Culver Building Commissioner.

My experience is in manufacturing regulatory compliance. I’ve had responsibilities locally and at multiple sites and states. I’ve been responsible to maintain regulatory compliance with local, state and federal policies and statutes for a wide range of government agencies. While preforming these duties, I also was responsible for Human Resources at multistate sites. I established many corporate policies to protect people and the environment. I’ve managed budgets and operations.

I’m resilient, willing to learn, flexible when needed, I’ll seek solutions and be creative and set realistic expectations.

I currently work for the Town of Culver as the Building Commissioner and Town Planning. Among many duties, I’m responsible to make sure the BZA and Planning Commission members have the needed information to make their decisions and to adhere to Zoning Ordinances and State Statute.

My wife Lynn and I married in 1984 and we have raised two children in Plymouth. Samantha & Brian Gardner, Plymouth and Thomas and Emma Gorski, Sheridan. Both of our children have blessed us with one grandchild each (so far). Lynn and I have raised our family alongside yours in our county.

I am committed to the progress and strength of Marshall County and its communities by looking where we have been and where our future lies. This includes the comprehensive plan. I’ll work hard and take the necessary actions to be a leader.

I show up and I want to walk side by side with you. Let’s talk about your concerns. steve.gorski@ outlook.com.
