PLYMOUTH - Plymouth High School senior Angel Pagoada Matute has committed his future academic and athletic career to Marian University Ancilla College.

Mid Michigan College, Montcalm Community College, Mott Community College, Muskegon Community College, North Central Michigan College, Oakland Community College, Schoolcraft College, Southwestern Michigan College, St. Clair County Community College, and Wayne County Community College.
Angel is the son of Saira Matute and Angel Pagoada. He is also a member of the Seed club and Multicultural club at PHS. Angel plans to major in finance or business administration while playing soccer. He chose MUAC because it was close to home and was a chance to keep playing soccer.
“Angel was one of our captains this last season and for good reason,” said PHS assistant coach Jimenez. “I had the privilege of coaching Angel for four years and would be honored if we got another player of his caliber. He was a varsity player for three years and a varsity starter for two of those. He matured quickly since his freshmen year and never looked backed. He always gave 110% on the field and even when he was hurt he would show up to support his team. You could tell the difference in our play whenever Angel wasn’t on the field. Ancilla will be very lucky to have him and he will contribute immensely I’m sure to their future success. I’m proud of Angel and all he accomplished at PHS and wish him the best in his soccer career.”
