❚ The Kansas City Chiefs will be without running back Isiah Pacheco and left tackle Donovan Smith on offense and safety Bryan Cook and linebacker

Drue Tranquill on defense when they play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Pacheco is the league's fifth-leading rusher but is sidelined by a shoulder bruise, leaving Clyde Edwards-Helaire to start in his place. Smith has a neck injury, Cook a sprained ankle and Tranquill is in the concussion protocol. The Chiefs could activate linebacker Nick Bolton off injured reserve, where he has been recovering from a fractured wrist.

❚ Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is back with the team after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. The procedure came four days before an NFC East showdown with Philadelphia.

❚ Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence's availability for Sunday's game at Cleveland will be a game-time decision based on how he feels during warmups. Lawrence was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day on Friday. He seemed to move around without any issues during the portion open to the media. He was formally listed as questionable to play against the Browns (7-5). Lawrence suffered a high ankle sprain late in Monday night's 34-31 overtime loss to Cincinnati. He sat out practice on Wednesday.

❚ The Seattle Seahawks have listed quarterback Geno Smith as questionable for Sunday's game against San Francisco. He will be a game-time decision due to a groin injury suffered in practice. Seattle coach Pete Carroll said after practice on Friday that Smith “tweaked his groin” on Thursday when he stumbled over somebody. Smith sat out practice on Friday. “We'll see. We rested him today,” Carroll said. The injury could lead to backup Drew Lock making his first start since being acquired by the Seahawks as part of the trade that sent Russell Wilson to Denver before the 2022 season.
