Paula Louise DiGrado (Latka) McLimore went to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 5, 2024, after a lengthy battle with health issues. Paula was born to Geraldine and Pete DiGrado of Pueblo on Jan. 15, 1953. Her early years were spent in Pueblo where she graduated from Pueblo South High School. In 1971 she married Neil Latka and in 1974 she and her two small children joined Neil for a year in Korea as an off-base civilian during the Vietnam Crisis. After returning to the U.S., the family lived in Lakewood, Edgewater and Arvada, Colo. After her divorce from Neil in 1981, Paula worked in many fields then found her calling in Mortgage Lending. In 1996, she married Don McLimore and moved to her beloved mountains. Living on Gore Pass, she worked in Evergreen, Frisco and Kremmling. The couple relocated to Buena Vista where she worked for Countrywid­e Mortgage before becoming a Curves manager and a Zumba instructor. In 2012, Paula was forced to retire for health reasons. Paula was happiest when spending time with her family (kids, grandkids and great-grandkids). She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, dancing, snowmobili­ng, the outdoors and animals. Her favorites were elk, horses, elephants, red fox, birds and black cats. Paula is survived by her husband, Don; her son, Brian Latka (Jessica) of Highlands Ranch; her daughter, Marie Latka (Matt Fuentes) of Arvada; stepchildr­en, Bryan McLimore (Andrea) of Casper, Wyo., and Cassie McLimore of Broomfield; eight grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren; sisters, Lucille Vaughan (Gary) of Ft. Laramie, Wyo., and Anne Olsen (Jim) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; brothers, Mike Pannunzio of Bouse, Ariz., and John Pannunzio (Tracy) of Torrington, Wyo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paula was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Williams; her father, Pete DiGrado; a brother, Petri DiGrado; her stepfather, Cleve Williams; and a sister, Marie Haris. No service is planned at this time.
