It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear brother and husband, George Archuleta, on Jan 13, 2024, at Sharmar Village Care center where he resided for the past two years. George was born in Farasita, Colo., on Dec. 28, 1938, to Julian and Elea Archuleta. George went to California after graduating from high school in Walsenburg but returned to his beloved Colorado in 1981. George was employed in law enforcemen­t in Walsenburg when he retired. George and his wife, Priscilla, traveled to California every year to spend time with family for the holidays. George will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful and generous person. He was ready to help anyone that needed assistance. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends. George is survived by his wife, Priscilla; his sisters, Ruth Valdez (husband, Steve) of San Lorenzo, Calif., Ramona Archuleta of Fremont, Calif., Arlene Pacheco of San Leandro, Calif.; brother, Julian Archuleta of Port Orchard, Wash.; stepsons, Ned Alvarez (wife, Chongee) of Mesa, Ariz., Karl Alvarez (wife, Sindy) of Brentwood, Calif.; three grandchild­ren, five great-grandchild­ren, and several nieces and nephews. The Archuleta family would like to thank the leadership and staff at Sharmar Village Care Center for their loving and kind care to our dear brother and husband. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday April 6, 2024, at the Fellowship of the Rockies, 3892 W. Northern Ave. Pueblo, CO.
