Police Reports
• Police responded to a burglary on Cloe Church Street, Bell Township, at 1:57 p.m. Sept. 22. Troopers say that a 39-yearold man from Timblin entered the second-story window of the residence of another known person, unlawfully restrained her and threatened serious bodily harm. The man was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
• Police found a driver to allegedly be DUI during a traffic stop on Route 36, Rose Township, Jefferson County, at 1:34 a.m. Sept. 25. Troopers say that they stopped a 24-year-old woman and arrested her for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending.
• Police responded to a report of harassment on Berwinsdale Road, Chest Township, Clearfield County, at 3:42 p.m. Sept.
24. Troopers say that an altercation occurred between two family members, a 25-year-old man from Altoona and a 39-year-old woman from Irvona. The investigation is ongoing.
• Police responded to a report of theft by deception on Summerville Corsica Road, Clover Township, Jefferson
County, at 10:56 a.m. Sept. 21. Troopers say that they received a report that a pandemic unemployment assistance claim was fraudulently filed with the victim’s personal information. The investigation is ongoing.
• Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route
28, Rose Township, Jefferson County, at 8:20 p.m. Sept. 22. Troopers say that a 2004 Ford Focus, driven by Brian C.
Butler, 59, of Summerville, struck a 2009 Kia Rio, driven by Brianna L. McCullough, 18, of Summerville, as it entered the highway from a driveway. Both drivers reported chest pain and were transported to Penn Highlands Brookville. McCullough’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene while Butler’s vehicle was towed from the scene by McPherson Auto Body & Towing. Police were also assisted by Jefferson County EMS and the Pine Creek Township Volunteer Fire Company.
