Paul Edward Strawcutte­r, 62, of Punxsutawn­ey, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born in Punxsutawn­ey on March 25, 1960, a son of Ethel Mae (Bouch) Strawcutte­r and the late Irvin Dorsey Strawcutte­r. His mother survives and resides in Punxsutawn­ey.

Paul was a graduate of Punxsutawn­ey Area High School.

Following graduation, he joined the United States Army and served during Desert Storm. He was a proud American veteran that willingly served his country when duty called. Paul worked installing cable for phone and internet services for Du-Com which later became Zito Media for nearly 30 years.

He was the former president of the Eagles Riders, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1231, Dixonville Moose, St. Joseph’s Polish Club and the Walston Club.

He enjoyed spending time with his companion, Susan Long. He also enjoyed shooting pool with so many people at the clubs over the years.

Paul is survived by one daughter, Verna Bundy of Punxsutawn­ey; his mother, Ethel Strawcutte­r; four grandchild­ren, Alexander Smith, Jordan Strawcutte­r, Damian Dickey and Spencer Bundy; two brothers, Bernard Strawcutte­r of McKees Rocks, and Irvin “JR” Strawcutte­r of Punxsutawn­ey; three sisters, Debra Mano of Punxsutawn­ey, Anna Foley and husband Bill of Reynoldsvi­lle, and Phyllis Quick of Punxsutawn­ey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawn­ey.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill EUB, Gaskill Township. Military honors will be accorded by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard.
