Lois Ann Johnson, 87

Lois Ann Johnson, 87, of Mahaffey, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

She was born Feb. 24, 1935, to Lemuel and Nannie (Lee) Stiffler in Johnstown.

Lois was a member of Mahaffey Alliance Church; she was formerly involved in the home missions’ group and was involved in other various church activities. Lois enjoyed singing and attending her grandchildren’s sports and school events. Most of all she loved the Lord and spending time with her family.

She was survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis N. Johnson Jr., Mahaffey, until July 27, 2022; two sons, Gary L. Johnson and wife Pamela, Rochester Mills, and Roger A. Johnson and fiancé Paula Miller, Penfield; two daughters, Sharon L. Voris and husband Timothy, Mahaffey, and Tina M. Collins and husband Gregory, Clearfield; five grandchildren, Jared Voris, Andrew Voris, Breanna Voris, Daniel Collins and Matthew Collins; a brother, Clair Stiffler and wife Nancy, Mahaffey; a sister-in-law, Madelyn Stiffler, Indiana; and close cousins Twila Bush and LaRue “Tootsie” McGarvey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward “Jim” Stiffler; and two sisters, Delphine White and Inez Snyder.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market St., Mahaffey, PA 15757. A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Larson officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Zion Independent Church Cemetery, Mahaffey.

The family has asked that masks must be worn by everyone attending the visitation and funeral service.
